I’ve always loved the look of a sleeveless trench, but for the longest time I had difficulty with styling it. I didn’t know if I should pair it with long sleeves or short and I couldn’t decide if I should dress the vest up or down. Turns out you can do it all, just keep these style points in mind when doing so:

If you choose long sleeves, I would try to keep the bottoms the same colour. Basically stick with neutrals by wearing an all black or all cream ensemble. This way you aren’t breaking up the outfit and things will looks seamless.

If you chose a tank like me, tuck it in and wear a slim jean to keep things elongated.

If it’s a mid-length vest like the one I’m wearing, it’s best to wear a heel to keep things elongated again.

If you want to wear it with a sneaker, go for a bit of a longer vest that hits lower than the knee.
