It’s our last day in Milano before heading back to Berlin for a quick two-day layover en route to the next fashion week in Paris. It was my first time in the Italian fashion capital, and it didn’t take long for the city, people and designers to leave an amiable impression.
Let’s rewind to the first day, where I opted for head-to-toe neutrals to stroll through the sun-soaked streets. The first day always flies by, but this one in particular was a little bit of a blur. We flew out of Berlin before sunrise, checked into our apartment, and were straight out the door again to catch presentations and shows; Hogan, Prada, and Just Cavalli were definite highlights.
Getting my bearings straight proved a challenge within Milan’s web of winding roads – seriously, look at this city on Google Maps – especially when you have to get from point A to point B very quickly. Taxis typically don’t bow to the desperate wave of a hand like in most cities, so it was Uber 10 times a day from here on out. We treated ourselves to a giant Italian feast – pumpkin spinach pasta for me and a few glasses of wine to wrap up day one.
