How to Create A Cat Eye For Day & Night
If you’ve been following my blog for awhile, then it will come to no surprise to you that my go-to makeup look is a good cat eye with a subtle brow. I’ve tested a lot of eyeliners throughout the years and I have to tell you that the Maybelline Master Precise Curly Eyeliner has just made its way to the top of my list. I know that a cat eye can be a tricky one to master but once you use this eyeliner, I promise you, you will never have any issues with creating that perfect curl. This easy grip pen allows you to have complete control of your curve and in one clean sweep you can achieve a cat eye that accentuates your eyes beautifully. My tip is to apply the liner sideways for a generously curly line, starting from the inner corner then use the tip to trace your line, creating a seamless look.
During the day, I like to wear a subtle cat eye which ultimately means creating a thinner line on your lid. When I’m wearing basic summer pieces, like my denim shorts and an oversized cardigan, a dramatic cat eye would be too overpowering for my look. Instead, I like to create a thin cat eye to match my casual style. To achieve this, simply use the very tip of the Master Precise Curly liner instead of using the entire brush. Add a nude lip to finish off the look, I used Maybelline Color Sensational in Truffle Tease.
For night time, instead of re-doing your entire make up, you can simply adjust your liner and lips to create a little more drama. To achieve this, use the entire brush when making your curve, using the flat side of the brush to create a thicker, bolder cat eye. Finish it off with a darker lip and bolder brow, I used the Maybelline Micro Pencil in soft brown and Color Sensation Creamy Matte in Touch of Spice. Since I’m half Asian, my eyebrows have a tendency to lay flat and downward, the Micro Pencil allows me to brush them up while contouring my eyebrows with it’s ultra fine tip pencil.
No matter if it’s day or night, in my opinion a good cat eye and brow is always acceptable and forever in style.
