Embracing Winter Style

Over the holidays I took some much needed time away from the online world and tucked myself away at a cottage up north. I’m usually one to complain about the winter weather but for some reason, being up there made it much more tolerable to deal with. I loved waking up to fresh snow, it was the most beautiful winter wonderland you can ask for.

It was time to fully embrace my winter wardrobe and test out a few items I've been saving for extreme cold temperatures. The parka, the wool beanie and oversized knitwear were on heavy rotation this past week. The perfect combination of comfort and warmth while still feeling like myself.

The days felt so nice and long when you have nothing on your schedule. It was the first time in a while that I felt completely relaxed, all we did was cook, watch movies, hot tub, catch up on some reading and enjoy time with friends and family. I couldn't think of a better way to end the year and to rejuvenate before the new one started.
