The past few weeks have been a bit of a lesson in dividing my time. More specifically, let’s call it managing commitments. Sometimes it’s hard to accept that a day only has 24 hours, six of which I prefer to sleep so I can maintain proper function. Yes, even on Mondays I often wish I could extend how many hours I have in a day, be it for work or leisure (though 95% of my brainpower is usually committed to the former). The solution to this lingering feeling of an off-balance work-life ratio is learning when to just say ‘no’. It’s essential, and central to that is learning how to prioritize. That’s my goal for the next little while: figure out what I can cut for now, set aside for later, and should dedicate 100% of my energy to at this very moment. First step: Wear something pretty and take photos. The rest will hopefully fall into place.
