Chanel Paris Show Recap
In the three years I’ve been attending Chanel shows, I’ve seen a rocket ship, waterfall, a re-make of an Eiffel tower and now a forest. Walking into this season’s Chanel show was something truly magical, trees aligned the centre of the Grand Palais, the floors covered in leaves and the smell of a fresh Fall day filled the air. As I took my seat on the log benches, I got goosebumps knowing I was about to see something truly beautiful.
This season more than any other one, the Chanel collection felt very wearable. Models were layered up with some of the best oversized coats I've seen, along with colour blocked scarves, long gloves and metallic boots.
Karl Lagerfeld said the inspiration behind the forest was a reflection of his childhood, as he was brought up in the country side on an estate. The collection definitely mirrored that type of atmosphere which is why I think it read so wearable for many of us. I left the show on a complete fashion high, which is usually the case when a Chanel show ends. My morning nerves had finally calmed down but my fashion adrenaline had now heightened.
You guys have to watch the entire show over on Chanel.com - the atmosphere, music and clothes are something you can't miss.
