Berry Coconut Chia Smoothie

Berry Coconut Chia Smoothie: 

1/2 cup almond milk 

1/4 cup cold water 

1 cup frozen berries 

1 banana 

1 tbsp. Chia seeds (these and these are my favourite)

1/4 tsp. coconut oil (love this)

1 tsp. honey or agave 

Top smoothie with: Unsweetened coconut flakes and more Chia seeds

 

I’m kicking off the week with another smoothie recipe for you, which is all about the Chia seed! So if you didn’t know how good chia seeds were for you, you do now… I can’t believe what these tiny little seeds can do for your body! I’ve become so obsessed with this superfood that I recently ordered a kilo to my doorstep… my boyfriend thinks I’m a little crazy. The cool thing about Chia seeds is that they are flavourless, so you can literally sprinkle them on anything. I like them best in my smoothies, yoghurt, or on top of salads. If you haven’t incorporated Chia seeds into your diet, it’s time to start.
