Why You Need Eye Cream: Skin Care Advice

Skin care products have always been a focus in my beauty routine so, naturally, I was so excited to try Olay’s new Olay Eyes Collection. Over the years, I have had many conversations with family, friends, and colleagues about skin care products, and I’ve found that many people don’t use eye creams because they assume using their face cream is good enough.

I have also discovered that some people refuse to pay for an additional eye cream – I have to say, I used to be one of those people but as my knowledge base about the products I use grew, I realized how necessary and valuable it is to include eye creams in my monthly beauty budget. Think about it this way – most of us have no problem justifying paying $300 for new shoes that go on our feet, probably only a few times, but we won’t spend the money on extra treatments we use for our skin that we only get one chance to protect. The Olay Eyes line includes 5 different products that are designed to treat the five eye aging patterns that affect 95% of women – after trying it out, I completely stand by these eye creams and serums. I like that the products target a variety of concerns and are all slightly different in terms of texture, application, and result, so I would take the time to find which one is for you. My favourite is the Ultimate Eye Cream that comes in a little pot and you apply the cream with your fingers. It has a thicker base and with my skin being very dry, I like a heavier cream to treat it.

Remember, it’s never too early to start adding eye cream to your beauty routine – Olay recently discovered that the delicate skin in your eye area starts ageing earlier, and also ages faster than other areas of your face. Check out the full line to find your new best beauty tool for younger-looking eyes:

Thank you Olay for sponsoring this post. All opinions and advice are my own and I only promote products I truly believe in and love.

    • You should, I’m loving rotating them into my beauty routine, depending on my skin that week!

  • I’ve noticed that the area around my eyes is the driest as well – it’s the thinest part of your face so it ages fast, and when we take off our eye make up etc, it just gets stretched as well so having a good under eye cream is so important! I think I should try this Olay one because I like that it adresses a variety of issues!
