The Benefits of Body Oils

Ever since I was a little girl, my mom taught me the importance of hydrating my skin with lotion after every shower. I remember complaining as a child, as it seemed like such a chore at the time, but thankfully her good advice has paid off in the long run. However, in the past few months I’ve skipped the lotion game and moved over to body oils! I find them much more effective and my skin looks and feels silky smooth. Good body oils lock in moisture and have a protective nature to them that you just can’t get with a lotion. I’m a huge fan of the Tom Ford oils, which I’m currently using right now, but I recently tested out a few other brands and they are definitely on par! Read all my reviews on my top body oils below:

Tom Ford Soleil Blanc Body Oil  – This oil helps condition skin and leaves it looking radiant. Massage a few drops onto damp or dry skin. The smell is truly captivating and represents summer in a bottle, with notes of white florals and golden amber-sandalwood. There is a dry oil version of this that is a little bit more light weight and easier to apply, it’s better for the beach bag!

Tom Ford Soleil Blanc Shimmering Body Oil Same idea as the regular body oil with a bit of shimmer for that bronzed glow! I like to wear to this one at night on my legs.

Ouai Rose Hair and Body Oil  – Two in one is never a bad thing! Ouai’s rose-gold Hair & Body Oil is a silicone-free fusion of nutrient-rich oils from all over the world. It’s fast absorbing and provides your skin or hair the perfect illuminating lift. Absinthium oil rehydrates dry skin and hair, rose hip oil reduces the appearance of scars and redness, and shea oil nourishes dry, dull skin and hair. This is a great one to keep in the purse!

Farsali Rose Gold Elixr FARSÁLI’s – A 24-karat, gold-infused beauty oil that’s rich in vitamins, antioxidants, and essential fatty acids. This body oil is made up of Rosehip seed oil which allows quick penetrating into your skin and visibly brightens skin to improve it’s texture. It is packed with linoleic and linolenic acids, vitamin C, and vitamin A to help reduce the appearance of fine lines and discolourations. Focus this oil on your face or on really dry areas.

Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse Multi Purpose Oil – Nuxe has always been a favourite of mine, ever since travelling to Paris to discover their entire range of products and the science that goes into them. This is France’s leading body oil – it has a floral fragrance with warm notes of the beach and sun. This oil can also be used on both the skin and the hair and has size precious plant oils that inlace macadamia, hazelnut, borage, almond, camellia and St. John’s Wort.

Tom Ford Neroli Portifino I know this is the third Tom Ford oil in this post but I’m literally obsessed with them! This one has the same concept as all his body oils but the smell to me is the best there is. It has notes of Tunisian Neroli, Italian Bergamot, Sicilian Lemon, Winter Yellow Mandarin, Orange Flower, Lavender…transporting me right back to the south of Italy.
