As you know, I wasn’t able to make it to Paris Fashion week this season because I had to deal with my apartment situation at home. So instead of sitting at the show, I watched all my favourite designers live from their websites. Stella McCartney is always one of my favourite shows to watch – her designs embody the perfect balance of chic classics with fun, playful elements. This season Sally Hansen designed the nail look for the show and although they opted to go with a nude one (a classic!) for the runway, the Global Color Ambassador, Madeline Poole also designed an “Inspired Nail” that was an edgy-feminine take on one of the immaculate prints that debuted on the runway. After being backstage with Sally Hansen at Philip Lim 3.1, I was especially interested in the beauty details. So, me being me, one Sunday afternoon I decided to re-create this look at home with the Sally Hansen’s Complete Salon Manicure collection.
I’ll get to the details below on how to achieve this playful look, but first let’s discuss that this nail polish is one of those miracle products! Not only does it boasts 7 benefits in one bottle – base coat, strength, growth treatment, salon colour, top coat, chip resistance, and gel shine finish, it also lasts on your nails! The keratin enriched formula delivers up to 64% stronger nails and up to 10 days of chip-resistant wear. Music to my ears! I honestly didn’t know how amazing this product was until I started using it this past year.
Here’s how to create this playful Stella McCartney look:
STEP 1 – Paint the nails with 2 to 3 coats of Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure in
STEP 2 – Using a striping brush, paint circular shapes on all nails with random placement using Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure in
Red My Lips
STEP 3 – Using a striping brush, paint letters and stripes using Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure in
