When I’m on vacation, I want simple pieces that make in impact. Travelling to a new destination allows you the perfect opportunity to go a little outside of the every day basics. It’s time to wear the pieces you’ve been saving in your closet or shop for the ones that have been sitting on your wishlist! When I plan for a tropical trip, I like to to think of a few things a few weeks prior to departure: tones, accessories and footwear. Try starting off with mostly neutrals and adding in a pop of colour, load up on accessories, bags, hats, sunglasses – these are an easy ways to change up a simple dress or short. Lastly, when it comes to footwear, bring only one pair of small wedges or block heels and then stick with flats. There are so many chic slides that can easily be paired with maxi dresses for an evening look! Remember that resort wear is the perfect balance of style and comfort, allow the theme to resonate you when shopping and packing for a tropical destination.
