About a month ago, we took a 5 day trip to Miami for some much needed sun and relaxation. We had the chance to stay both in South beach and downtown Miami, which was a new experience for us! I’ve always stayed in South Beach when visiting Miami so I found it refreshing to cross the bridge and spend few days on the other side of the city. It didn’t take us long to feel completely at home at East Miami hotel – we were spoiled with the most amazing room, that had a 360 degree view of the downtown core with a chic modern interior that made you never want to leave. The hotel itself is nestled in the heart of Brickell City Centre which is conveniently filled with some of the best designer shops. It was so nice to take a break from the pool and walk literally downstairs to do a bit of shopping…it was all too tempting not to.
No detail went unnoticed at East Miami, it’s designed with the guests in mind and everything from the phone chargers by your bed, to the custom lighting in each room, to the tooth brush set they leave you, it all made our stay that much more enjoyable. I’m telling you – we really could have moved in! We enjoyed our evenings in at the Quinto La Huella, one of the restaurant on the 5th floor and then headed to the rooftop bar, Sugar, for a cocktail along side some impeccable views of Miami. If you happen to find yourself heading to Miami, be sure to book a spot at East – you won’t regret it.
Other Resturants we enjoyed in both South Beach and downtown Miami:
La Mar -amazing Peruvian food.
Cecconi’s – great scene, with some tasty Italian food.
Yard House – a casual place for lunch, great southern food.
Cleo – Mediterranean food tapas style.
