CAFE LIEBLING– A local favourite in Prenzlauer Berg. Liebling is situated at the corner of Helmholtzplatz making it the perfect spot for people-watching as you sip a coffee, tea or a glass of their delicious rosé. Try the walnut goat cheese salad or soup of the day and don’t forget to take a look at their glass tower of cakes.
BULLYS BAKERY – A charming cafe in Neukölln on the bustling street of Weserstraße. Serving strong coffee, french baked goods, flammkuchen (a thin german type pizza) and the most delicious carrot cake ever.
KAFFEEBAR – If you find yourself in the Kiez of Kreuzberg (which you should) grab a coffee, dessert or light lunch at Kaffeebar. It’s simplicity executed right and everything you would want in a coffee spot. The industrial interior is always a favourite of mine.
ENGELBERG – A classic german cafe on Oderberger Strasse in Prenzlauer Berg. A simple menu, packed with flavour with a great selection of wines and cheeses. They have comfortable outdoor seating with a beautiful rustic design and friendly staff.
NEST – Situated across Gorlitzer park in Kreuzberg, Nest is a classic spot for breakfast or brunch. With rotating specials and a Sunday brunch buffet that won’t leave you disappointed.
I have a whole Berlin travel guide of places to eat, sleep, drink and explore. Since it’s quite extensive I decided to split it up in categories. Stay tuned for my favourite dinner spots next.
