If I had to pick one outfit to wear for the whole autumn season, this would be it. The combination of oxblood and camel is a match made in fall fashion heaven. There are so many great trends this season, especially with knitwear consistently in the spotlight, so I feel very inspired to get up and get dressed these days; there is the knit on knit trend, the XL oversized knit, knits with formal wear – you name it, it’s probably happening. As much as I’m a little sad to see summer disappear, autumn has always been much more appealing when it comes to getting dressed. You don’t have to think about too many factors and, most importantly, it’s the best season to mix in comfort.

After purging my unwanted clothes from my wardrobe a couple weeks ago, I’ve made a strong commitment to myself: invest more in quality pieces. As I looked at all the things I got rid of, it became apparent it was all the cheap and cheerful pieces I buy to entertain myself. It’s a waste of money and space! I feel that my style is always evolving, and with that comes a sense of sophistication in my wardrobe. Buying classic pieces that will hold up well, never go out of style, and feel good every time you wear them is key. I could live in this cashmere sweater… and to be completely honest, I kind of have been. Quality to me means wanting to basically climb into those clothes and live in them forever. I don’t think I would say the same if it were a cheap polyester one. Invest in the right staples and bring in the less expensive trend pieces to keep it all relevant.
