Changing up The Blazer

Changing Up The Blazer

The blazer to me is always a fall staple and one of the most versatile pieces to get you through the season. This past fashion month I saw blazers just about everywhere, paired with dresses, skirts, jeans or worn as a pant suit. However it was styled, these women made the blazer come back to life in so many different ways and I absolutely loved it. It’s kept me inspired to restyle this classic wardrobe staple and show you just how versatile it really can be.

I usually wear my blazers open, thrown loosely over an oversized tee and fitted pair of denim. It's one of my go-to looks and can pretty much prepare you for any occasion you might find yourself at. However with my new incentive to try out some styling tricks from fashion weeks, I added the belt to create a nice silhouette to an oversized look. It's a great trick to avoiding looking too boxy and I love how such a small detail can make an impact.

I chose this Lovers + Friends white star belt to break up a dark blazer.

Lastly, I finished my look with some statement heels from Stella Luna. I've been a big fan of this brand this past season, their designs are wearable and unique!
